As a Machine Vision Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales of machine vision solutions by leveraging your technical expertise, industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills. A Machine Vision Sales Engineer is expected to have a deep understanding of our Machine Vision cameras as well as imaging principles, and be able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Regular customer visits and trade show attendance is expected to represent the Marketplace business, estimated 15% travel. This role will also require ample time in the lab to develop customer solutions, demos, and content, estimated at 30%.
Machine Vision and Imaging Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of all cameras and related software.
Sales & Customer Solutions: Work closely with customers to understand their unique requirements and propose product solutions that meet their technical and business needs.
Merchandizing and Content Creation: Provide valuable feedback, guidance and support to Marketplace Product, Merchandizing and Marketing Teams to improve marketing on Machine Vision cameras across all channels.
Training and Support: Create and maintain training materials and documentation for internal and external use
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the industry. Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to inform business strategy.

Required Skills & Abilities:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or hard science; formal training in sales, negotiations, and management highly desirable; minimum of two (2) to five (5) years experience in technical and/or business-to-business sales.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time; ability to travel; work in office setting.

The actual offer will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, education, work experience, business needs, and geographic location.
Salary Range:
$75,000 – $80,000 per year
